Why appoint us as your Embedded Network Manager (ENM)?
Body corporates have less than a month to nominate an ENM.
An Embedded Network Manager is appointed to overview the network, maintain embedded network metering information regarding, the meter types and configuration of metering installations at the parent connection point and all child connection points on the Embedded Network, and assist with on-market requests. When a customer chooses to obtain their own retailer contract and leaves the embedded network, the ENM will process this request and handle the changeover.
Who does the change apply to and what do you need to do?
Changes to the National Electricity Rules apply to all Embedded Network Operators, it is mandatory that Embedded Networks with 30 or more customers appoint an Embedded Network Manager. Any new Embedded networks must appoint an ENM immediately on the network commencing operation. Embedded Networks with less than 30 customers will only need to appoint an ENM if a customer wishes to obtain their own retail contract/go on-market.
The AER has created an interactive tool, to help inform you, if you need to appoint an ENM.
