IMPORTANT ELECTRICITY UPDATE
The purpose of the ENM is to facilitate the transfer of a customer from off-market to on-market (and back again if required). – ‘Australian Energy Regulator.’
- The AER is allowing an initial transitional period from December 1, 2017, to March 31st, 2018. Where embedded network operators can demonstrate taking active steps to appoint an ENM.
- You must appoint an ENM if:
- You currently own and/or operate an embedded network.
- You have 30 or more embedded network customers.
- You must appoint an ENM, if you have under 30 EN customers, but when a customer within the network enters into a market retail contract.
